Every October, Lima dresses in purple. The scent of incense spreads through the streets, prayers accompany the procession, and thousands of devotees gather to pay homage to the Lord of Miracles (Señor de los Milagros), the central figure of one of Peru’s most iconic religious and cultural traditions. Known as the Purple Month (Mes Morado), this season invites visitors to discover a unique facet of the capital—one where spirituality, heritage, and popular customs intertwine. For travelers, it offers a rare opportunity to witness an expression of faith that has united generations for over three centuries.

Peru offers an extraordinary variety of settings to design itineraries that seamlessly connect culture, nature, and adventure. The historical heritage of Lima, the ancestral trails of the Andes, and the biodiversity of the Amazon provide distinct ways to experience the country, blending iconic destinations with off-the-beaten-path alternatives. At VIPAC Travel, our track record as a leading Destination Management Company (DMC) and deep local expertise allow us to craft tailored proposals that match every traveler’s interests, backed by specialized coordination that cares for every stage of the journey.

The natural and cultural wealth of Cusco inspires us to continue building a way of traveling that values its heritage, strengthens the bond with its communities, and contributes to caring for the environment. Each experience represents an opportunity to contribute positively and advance together toward a more sustainable tourism. Driven by this conviction, VIPAC has been selected, along with other companies in the sector, to participate in the Ayllu Verde tourism sector pilot, an initiative that promotes the circular economy as a tool to drive tourism sustainability in the Cusco region. The project has the technical and financial support of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), is implemented by UNESCO Peru and the Korean consulting agency PMC, and incorporates the participation of the World Bank, in alliance with the Regional Government of Cusco. For VIPAC, this selection represents an opportunity to strengthen our sustainability approach through technical advice, guidance, and actions adapted to the reality of our operations.

Visiting Machu Picchu also means deciding from where you want to discover it. You can admire the Inca city among the mountains from the high terraces or walk through its plazas and structures. Circuit 1 brings together four panoramic routes; Circuit 2 features two paths that allow you to venture into sectors of the llaqta. Knowing their differences will help you plan a visit that matches the experience you envision.

This October, flavors from all over Peru meet in Lima. From October 30 to November 1, the fair will bring together dishes, products, and cultural expressions from the country's 25 regions. The invitation is to arrive with curiosity and discover the stories behind each offering. Following its editions in Ayacucho, Tacna, and Piura, the event organized by PROMPERÚ returns to the capital with over 174 exhibitors across gastronomy, tourism, crafts, and a market. It will take place at the Costa Verde Esplanade in Magdalena del Mar, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., with free admission.

At VIPAC we are starting a new alliance with the Asociación Niños del Arco Iris, an organization whose purpose, for more than two decades, has been to provide a comprehensive approach that contributes to the growth and well-being of children in a state of vulnerability in Urubamba. This meeting was born from a common vision: to recognize that our presence in a destination can also generate a positive impact. A conviction that brings us closer to a work built to contribute to children through education, health and nutrition, and that today marks the beginning of a shared path. Behind this union there is a story that deserves to be known. One that is built day by day and that finds in childhood, families and their well-being the center of its purpose.

Behind the flavors of Peru there is an extraordinarily diverse geography. The valleys that cross the Andes, the natural wealth of the Amazon and the products that arrive from the coast have shaped cuisines closely linked to each environment and to the knowledge developed around them. This relationship between origin, product and culture finds new forms of expression in Peruvian gastronomy today. The Somos Awards offer an opportunity to get closer to some of them, recognizing proposals that value the origin of the ingredients and cultures that have shaped the Peruvian table.

Every August 30, thousands of letters arrive at the same place in the Historic Center of Lima. Written with wishes and requests, they are deposited in the traditional Well of Wishes of the Sanctuary of Santa Rosa, keeping alive one of the most well-known customs of this date. Behind this gesture there is a story that began more than four centuries ago and that can still be discovered by touring some of the most emblematic places in the capital. Getting to know it allows you to get closer not only to the figure of Santa Rosa de Lima, but also to a city where the viceregal heritage, traditions and contemporary life continue to meet.

Peru is a country of great extension, comparable in size to Portugal, Spain and France combined. It is also extraordinarily diverse: the Coast, Andes and Amazon have very different geographical and climatic conditions. This diversity makes the country a unique destination for its landscapes, culture and gastronomy, but it also means that climatic phenomena such as El Niño do not affect all regions in the same way or at the same time .

August has a special meaning in Arequipa. During the month of its anniversary, the White City celebrates an identity built over centuries, between volcanoes, ashlar architecture, traditions and a gastronomy that preserves flavours and knowledge passed down from generation to generation.
